Job summary

Snowflake is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design and maintain a scalable platform for cost modeling and usage attribution. You will build AI agents and automation to enhance monitoring and incident response, while improving data ingestion and query efficiency for cloud utilization at scale.

The role requires deep architectural analysis, cross-functional project delivery, and strong coding skills in Go, Python or Java, with a focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing, building and supporting large scale systems in production.
• Experience with cost optimization and efficiency work on cloud-based systems.
• Deep system and architectural analysis to identify performance and efficiency insights.
• History of delivering large cross-functional projects with measurable impact.
• Proficiency in Go, Python or Java.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging in production environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
• Background building AI agents and working with LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable platform for resource ownership, usage, attribution, utilization, and cost modeling.
• Build AI agents, tools, and automation to enhance monitoring, alerting, and root-cause analysis.
• Improve data ingestion, storage, and query efficiency for cloud utilization and cost data.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Engineering to translate usage insights into operational changes.
• Contribute to open-source and industry best practices in monitoring and distributed systems.
