Job summary

Selective Insurance, a midsized U.S. domestic property and casualty insurer, is seeking a Solution Architect to drive modernization and cloud adoption. You will provide technical oversight to ensure projects align with enterprise architecture and business strategy.

You will design scalable solutions, mentor teams, and collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to set best practices; lead cloud migrations and evaluate services. This role offers a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in application development with 3+ years in architecture.
• Proven leadership of technical teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with high-volume transactional environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft tech stack and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, reusable application solutions; publish diagrams and artifacts.
• Evangelize enterprise architecture and mentor development teams.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to refine design methodologies and best practices.
• Lead migration of applications to the Cloud and evaluate native cloud services.
• Advise IT leadership on technical solutions and assess team competencies.
• Lead technical reviews of solutions and identify gaps with architecture principles.
• Identify modernization opportunities and optimize lifecycle management.
• Support Agile teams as an architecture leader using SAFe.
