Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for the US Financial Services Insurance team.

You will be the technical adviser to enterprise insurance customers migrating to the cloud, owning end-to-end architectures and data security, and presenting modernization roadmaps to CTOs and CIOs. This is a role where hands-on-keyboard technical depth meets executive-level communication.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology domains (software, cloud, etc.).
• 3+ years design/implementation/consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years IT development or consulting in software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end cloud architectures for enterprise insurance customers, balancing reliability, security, performance, and cost.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with senior leaders and influence long-term technology strategy for migration and AI adoption.
• Lead hands-on engagements including architecture reviews, POC builds, and AI workshops with demonstrations and artifacts.
• Collaborate with sales, TAMs, specialist architects, and services partners to progress workloads from design to production.
• Translate customer feedback into clear technical requirements and identify gaps to sponsor improvements in AWS services for the insurance sector.
