Job summary

remoting.work is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, with emphasis on automation and reliability. The role works largely asynchronously with a distributed team across multiple countries, following established standards and security practices.

You will design, deploy, and manage Azure resources using ARM templates, implement pipelines with Azure Pipelines and Azure DevOps, and codify infrastructure with Terraform.

Qualifications

Cloud DevOps Engineer Azure

Remote (Based at an approved local secure facility). We work US time zones and ask that you're available during those hours, even if that means adjusting your schedule.

About The Role

This role exists to build and maintain reliable, automated cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The position works primarily asynchronously, coordinating with a team distributed across multiple countries and time zones. Success means infrastructure deployments are consistent, repeatable, and free of manual configuration errors. The environment is structured and process-driven, with zero tolerance for errors in production systems. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, applying established standards without constant direct supervision.

What You'll Do

• Design and manage Azure infrastructure using Azure Resource Manager templates.

What We're Looking For

• Working knowledge of core Azure services and how they fit together.

• Experience writing infrastructure as code, including Terraform on Azure.
• Practical experience with Azure Resource Manager, Azure Pipelines, and Azure DevOps.
