Job summary

365 Retail Markets is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS infrastructure, Linux administration, EKS clustering, automation, patch management, monitoring, PostgreSQL exposure, and PCI-compliant environments.

This role requires expertise in building, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-based environments, supporting Java-based applications, and ensuring high availability, security, compliance, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on AWS infrastructure and cloud-native services.
Extensive Linux administration and troubleshooting.
Experience managing EKS/Kubernetes clusters.
SSL certificate management experience.
Patch management for Linux and cloud infrastructure.
Scripting in Shell and Python.
IaC with CloudFormation and Terraform.
Observability with New Relic and Grafana.
PCI-compliant environments experience.
On-call pager rotation participation.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure.
Administer and support Linux-based systems in production and non-production environments.
Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) clusters.
Handle SSL certificate management, including renewals, deployments, and troubleshooting.
Manage patch management activities for Linux servers, cloud infrastructure, and related systems.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell scripting and Python.
Build, maintain, and manage infrastructure as code using CloudFormation and Terraform.
Monitor and support Java-based applications, ensuring performance, availability, and reliability.
Configure, maintain, and enhance observability solutions using New Relic and Grafana.
Drive automation initiatives to improve deployment processes, reduce manual effort, and increase system reliability.
Build, manage, and maintain infrastructure in compliance with PCI requirements and security best practices.
Participate in the on-call pager support rotation and respond to production incidents as required.
Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to streamline CI/CD and deployment workflows.
Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and environment issues, and perform root cause analysis for production incidents.
Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
