Job summary

ModMed, headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to streamline operations and modernize our cloud-native platform. You will drive automation, CI/CD improvements, and reliable deployments to empower developers delivering healthcare software.

Based at our HQ in Boca Raton with some remote possibilities, this hands-on role focuses on AWS/Azure optimization, IaC tooling, and observability. You will mentor engineers and shape DevOps best practices across teams.

Qualifications

5+ years in DevOps or cloud engineering roles.
Hands-on AWS experience including security, performance, and cost management
Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jenkins, DataDog, and scripting (Python, Bash)
Strong networking, cloud security, CI/CD best practices
Leadership and mentoring abilities

Responsibilities

Administer and optimize AWS/Azure environments for security, performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS services.
Implement and maintain IaC with Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools.
Monitor and improve observability with DataDog.
Manage Kubernetes and container workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
Enable developer self-service infrastructure via GitOps, APIs, UIs, and automated tooling.
Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across teams.
