Job summary

Deloitte Global is seeking a Cloud Defense Security Engineer to design and manage cloud security telemetry, monitoring, and alerting across a multi-cloud platform used by the organization worldwide.

You will contribute to unified threat visibility and drive AI-infused security engineering, enabling faster detection, analysis, and response without typical SOC/on-call rotations. Strong collaboration across teams is expected as you grow in strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 5+ years in software engineering, cloud engineering, or data engineering.
• Hands-on, multi-cloud experience (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) with logging and alerting
• Programming and Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g., Python, Terraform)
• Some experience with data modeling or data correlation and stakeholder communication
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future

• Design, build, and manage cloud security telemetry, monitoring and alerting infrastructure.
• Contribute to unified, cloud-native threat visibility and risk posture across a multi-cloud environment.
• Explore AI-enhanced engineering and correlation to improve detection and response.
