Job summary

Dovel Technologies, Inc based in San Antonio, TX is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) to design and manage scalable database solutions in the AWS cloud. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience as a DBA in AWS, strong SQL skills, and expertise in AWS database services like RDS and Aurora.

The position entails optimizing database operations, ensuring data security, and collaborating with development teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Five years of experience as a DBA in AWS cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS database services.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage AWS database solutions.
• Monitor and optimize database performance.
• Automate operations using Infrastructure as Code.

Skills

AWS database services expertise (RDS, Aurora, Dynamo DB)

Strong SQL skills

Experience with database migration and replication tools

Scripting in Python and Bash

Familiarity with DevOps practices

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
