Titan Technologies, LLC (Titan) is seeking an experienced Cloud Database Specialist to lead the design, development, and management of cloud-based data infrastructures supporting enterprise-scale IT operations. This position plays a critical role in shaping and sustaining secure, scalable, and interoperable data architecture across dynamic cloud environments. The specialist will work closely with IT stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of diverse data sources, enabling advanced analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making. This position is remote; however, you MUST reside in Washington DC metro area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize secure cloud database solutions across multi-cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Architect robust data storage and retrieval models that support structured and unstructured data types, enhancing analytics, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, application, and infrastructure teams to align database strategies with broader enterprise architecture and cloud modernization goals.
  • Define and maintain standards for data interoperability and integration across distributed systems and third-party platforms.
  • Establish and manage data lifecycle policies, ensuring data governance, integrity, and compliance with federal security and privacy mandates.
  • Lead migration strategies for legacy databases to modern, cloud-native platforms while minimizing downtime and ensuring data fidelity.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and performance tuning of cloud-hosted databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL platforms.
  • Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for database provisioning, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Stay current on emerging cloud data technologies and provide strategic recommendations to enhance data-driven capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in cloud-based database architecture, design, and administration.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and tools.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native and hybrid data architecture design.
  • Strong knowledge of database security, encryption, and compliance requirements in federal environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash).
  • Deep understanding of relational and non-relational database systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting large-scale government or mission-critical enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and integrating databases into CI/CD workflows.
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics tools and data visualization platforms.

Education/Training Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect Certification.
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Implementation Specialist Certification.
