Job description

Location : Reston, VA & Washington DC / Plano TX / Maryland (Remote).

Experience : 14+ Years

PETADATA is currently looking to hire an APPIAN ARCHITECT / Appian Lead Developer for one of their clients.

The ideal candidate should:

1. Develop and test user management business process designs in Appian, working with document management, user access, and dashboards.
2. Review and verify application implementation according to best practices, focusing on performance and security.
3. Design and develop business logic, process models/flows, and UI screens within a BPM system.
4. Maintain application and security documentation as required by clients.
5. Lead the build, test, and deployment of automation solutions using industry-leading technologies.
6. Support data migration activities, including data mapping, ETL, and stored procedures.
7. Coordinate with team members for fixes, testing, and configuration management.
8. Implement functionality and troubleshoot issues using web technologies like HTML, CSS, HTTP, JSON.
9. Demonstrate new features to stakeholders and iterate based on feedback in an Agile environment.
10. Develop SQL scripts, update data models, and ensure database best practices.
11. Ensure data integrity, security, and adherence to standards.
12. Develop applications for public sector clients and provide thought leadership in Appian automation services.

Required Skills :

1. 10+ years of experience in Appian, with expertise in building and delivering critical applications (version 22.X required).
2. Deep knowledge of version control systems like Git.
3. Hands-on experience with Appian Objects such as Records, Reports, Tasks, UI components, Rules, and Process Models.
4. Experience with App Servers (JBOSS, TOMCAT) and Web Servers (Apache).
5. Experience in end-to-end Appian BPM implementations.
6. Integration experience with Web Services (SOAP, REST) and ESBs like MuleSoft.
7. Knowledge of Appian architecture, infrastructure, and full SDLC methodologies, especially Agile.
8. Strong skills in Appian Application and Interface design.
9. Experience with Application Security, SSO protocols (SAML, OAuth), and encryption standards.
10. Familiarity with latest Appian features including process mining, AI, and RPA.
11. Experience with Cloud migrations and database migrations.
12. Appian Certification is a plus.
13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Educational Qualification :

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
