Job summary

The Phoenix Group is seeking a Platform Engineer to advance the company's enterprise data platform in a multi-cloud environment. You will build scalable data ingestion, manage cloud data warehouses, and drive AI-enabled analytics strategies.

You will collaborate with data owners, analytics teams, and security to ensure reliable, secure, and cost-efficient data operations while enabling BI and AI applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in data engineering or enterprise BI; 2+ years with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake/Redshift).
• Experience with multi-account cloud data environments and access/security controls.
• Strong SQL and scripting (Python/Bash) for automation and data transformation.
• Familiarity with Fivetran, HVR, Matillion, dbt, Coalesce, and Postman.
• Knowledge of AI/LLM tech and Snowflake Cortex is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer enterprise cloud data warehouse; manage access, security, configurations.
• Monitor performance, security, reliability, and costs; meet SLAs.
• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines (CDC/ETL/ELT, API, batch ingestion).
• Develop curated datasets, semantic models for BI and AI apps.
• Collaborate with data owners and analytics to onboard sources and maintain lineage.
• Support deployment and monitoring of AI-enabled solutions (LLMs, AI agents).
• Draft architecture docs and best practices; guide tech and business users.
• Evaluate emerging features and drive adoption into production.
