Job summary

Apple in Phoenix, USA seeks a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design and implement large-scale data pipelines in the cloud. You will help manage storage, processing, and analytics across the Assessments pipeline and related systems at scale.

You will work with a team of data engineers and researchers to optimize performance, ensure data quality, and deliver reliable data solutions using Spark, Hadoop, and modern lakehouse technologies on AWS or GCP.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience building large-scale data pipelines or streaming systems.
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms and distributed processing.
• Strong knowledge of JVM-based programming and Java memory model.
• Ability to optimize end-to-end data processing and quality.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to build a massive data platform handling exabytes of data.
• Work on data processing, storage, and question engines across the cloud.
• Participate in dashboarding, A/B testing, and model status for assessments pipeline.
• Deliver robust, scalable data solutions with performance and reliability.
