Job summary

JANUS Research Group is seeking a Data and Software Infrastructure Architecture Engineer to support the Army's IT modernization at Fort Belvoir, VA. The ideal candidate will have an active Secret clearance and possess over ten years of experience in architecture design. Responsibilities include deploying robust hybrid/multi-cloud infrastructures, managing data systems, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. A Bachelor's degree in relevant fields and certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect are necessary. The position offers a competitive salary between $120K-$160K as well as a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance is generally required.
• 10+ years of related experience in system architectural principles.
• Active Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent; DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain robust, scalable hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure, including AWS and Azure.
• Design and administer data infrastructure to support large Defense Business Systems, data analytics, and AI initiatives.
• Develop software-defined network solutions, and define and integrate new capabilities into legacy architecture.
• Ensure all solutions comply with DoD STIGs and NIST 800-53 controls.
• Implement data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and maintain data validation, logging, and error-handling mechanisms.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions and automate DevOps processes.
