Job summary

Independent Software is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer Level 2 to design, develop, and maintain Big Data cloud applications supporting mission-critical operations. You will work with distributed computing, data processing systems, and modern frameworks using Node.js and TypeScript to build scalable, reliable solutions.

Role requires extensive full-stack JavaScript experience, plus hands-on work with Hadoop ecosystems and cloud data processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Eight+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Big Data Cloud technologies and distributed computing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex cloud-based software.
• Support Big Data processing across distributed systems.
• Develop and integrate Java applications and RESTful services.
• Implement Hadoop ecosystem technologies (HDFS, HBase, MapReduce, YARN, ZooKeeper).
• Develop workflows for distributed data processing and analytics.
• Troubleshoot defects and optimize performance.
• Collaborate to improve software quality and developer processes.
