Seeking a senior Cloud Software Engineer 3 in Annapolis, MD to design, develop, and optimize large-scale Big Data cloud architectures and distributed systems. You will build backend processing, data ingestion pipelines, and analytics across multi-node Linux-based environments.

The role emphasizes Java development, RESTful services, and experience with Hadoop ecosystem components, HDFS, and distributed coordination frameworks. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Qualificações

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
• 12+ years software engineering with Big Data/cloud focus and distributed computing, or 16+ years without a degree.
• A Master's degree substitutes for 2 years of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and maintain distributed Big Data cloud systems and pipelines.
• Develop Java applications, RESTful services, and MapReduce analytics.
• Work with HDFS, Bigtable, and ZooKeeper in multi-node environments.
• Design data ingestion, parsing, normalization, and indexing workflows.
• Secure applications with PKI, firewalls, and enterprise identity services.
• Lead on trade-offs, integration, and reuse of software components.
• Profile and optimize JVM memory and performance.
