Job summary

WEC Energy Group in Milwaukee, WI, or Chicago, IL, is seeking a Cloud Data Developer to build scalable data pipelines with AWS and to design data lake and data warehouse architectures. The role supports hybrid work (remote/on-site) with regular time in the office.

You will collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to model datasets and enable self-service analytics, while applying cloud security and cost optimization practices and infrastructure as code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related IT field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of IT experience.
• Certified Apprenticeship considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services.
• Design and optimize data lake and data warehouse architecture.
• Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to model datasets for self-service analytics.
• Enforce best practices in cloud security, cost optimization and IaC for cloud solutions.
• Provide ongoing operational support for the analytics ecosystem with monitoring and enhancements.
