Job summary

EDV Werke is seeking a Data Engineer to design and optimize data pipelines and models in a remote setup with Poland-based collaboration. The role emphasizes AWS data services, data governance, and cross-functional teamwork to support enterprise data platforms.

You will work with data scientists, implement production-ready data solutions, and maintain comprehensive documentation and Git workflows to ensure quality and traceability across data products.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and TDD practices.
• Strong SQL, data warehousing, and query optimization knowledge.
• Experience designing scalable data models for enterprise platforms.
• Hands-on AWS services experience (Athena, Lambda, Glue, SageMaker, S3, MWAA).
• Ability to support data scientists with data prep and ML infra.
• Experience using Git and AI-assisted coding tools in development.
• Strong business sense with clear communication and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AWS-based data pipelines by extending Lambda functions and SageMaker jobs.
• Design and optimize scalable data models for Silver and Gold layers using Apache Iceberg.
• Build ingestion, transformation, and processing logic for new datasets and business needs.
• Implement data quality, validation frameworks, and governance across enterprise datasets.
• Collaborate with data scientists to prepare data and support ML production deployment.
• Maintain documentation and source code using Git and best-practice workflows.
• Support code reviews, deployments, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, and data stakeholders.
