Job summary

Delaware Nation Industries seeks a Software Developer to support JWAC IT Services. The role applies software development to cloud-based data services: building reliable code, APIs, automation, and pipelines to move, prepare, and deliver data for analytics and AI/ML use.

Hands-on AWS or Kubernetes/container work is required; experience with both is a plus. You will collaborate with cloud engineers, data scientists, analysts, cybersecurity staff, and Government stakeholders to deliver practical,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant software development experience across the SDLC.
• Experience with AWS or Kubernetes/containerized applications; both is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain software components.
• Build data-pipeline and ETL components that ingest, transform, validate, and publish data.
• Develop APIs, web services, integrations, serverless functions, and workflow automation.
• Prepare reliable datasets for analytics, feature engineering, model training, and inference.
• Deliver software into AWS cloud services or Kubernetes/containerized environments; contribute to deployment automation and CI/CD practices.
• Improve reliability through automated testing, monitoring, logging, alerting, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance.
• Apply secure development practices, including least-privilege access and data protection.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers, data scientists, analysts, cybersecurity staff, and Government stakeholders to clarify needs and deliver practical solutions.
• Evaluate performance, operational effort, and cloud cost when recommending implementations.
