Job summary

North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives seeks an experienced Data Center Operations professional to implement and support on‑premise and Azure infrastructure, including AD/Entra ID, VMware, Windows Server, and Enterprise SQL. You will serve as escalation point for endpoints and ensure reliable datacenter performance in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in computer science or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent preferred.
• Combination of training and work experience may substitute for the educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports Microsoft on-prem Active Directory, VMware vCenter/ESX, Windows Server, Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
• Maintains servers, storage, backups, and related software with updates and security patches.
• Configures Windows 11 and Office 365 using Intune; some Linux experience is a plus.
• Provides datacenter monitoring and Tier-1/2 support with ticketing and change management.
• Follows change control processes and performs root-cause analysis.
• Collaborates with ServiceDesk and other teams to resolve incidents.
