Job summary

DLH Corporation in the United States, Maryland, Baltimore area, seeks a Cloud Application and Data Architect to lead cloud data solutions, data models, and integration across applications. You will design scalable data architectures, secure data flows, and optimize cloud storage and processing, while guiding legacy migrations to modern cloud platforms.

The role requires strong skills in AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, SQL/NoSQL, and CI/CD, plus collaboration with scientists and researchers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in application development, data architecture, and cloud computing or 8+ years with HS diploma
• Proven cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Experience with data modeling, governance, security, and ETL processes
• Working knowledge of AI/ML in clinical research is a plus
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with development workflows and CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based data architectures for applications
• Integrate applications with cloud data services and ensure data access
• Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing in cloud environments
• Develop data models and schemas to support business requirements
• Ensure data security and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and researchers to translate requirements
• Lead performance tuning of cloud data solutions
• Help integrate hardware into IT infrastructure
• Drive cloud technology adoption and best practices
• Mentor junior developers and maintain technical docs
