Job summary

Capital One is seeking an experienced tech audit professional to execute test procedures across critical tech functions, assess risks, and communicate findings to management. You will perform data-driven risk assessments, develop strong audit documentation, and collaborate with the Audit group to ensure timely remediation of actions.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or military experience, 2+ years in tech auditing or IT risk, plus experience with data extracts and scripting/coding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in tech auditing, information technology, information security, information systems risk management, or a combination.
• At least 1 year of experience analyzing data extracts to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Experience in testing scripting or coding, including writing, reviewing, or assessing.
• Preferred: CIA, CPA, AWS certifications, or CISSP.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in banking, financial services, or a professional services firm serving large banks.
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience auditing or performing cyber or information security.
• Preferred: 1+ years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure) and controls, or conducting audits of controls in cloud-based environments.
• Exposure to NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800 series, FedRAMP, and CIS benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Execute test procedures for critical technology functions, cloud-based infrastructure, cybersecurity, risk management, application, and third-party management.
• Perform risk assessments of business activities and conduct relevant testing based on identified risks and processes.
• Communicate issues, risks, and recommendations to all levels of management.
• Operate independently and complete work on schedule while meeting quality standards.
• Prepare clear, organized, and complete audit documentation.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and the extended Audit group.
• Leverage data and analytical tools during audit planning and fieldwork.
• Follow up on agreed audit actions to ensure management meets commitments within agreed timescales.
• Seek learning opportunities to enhance role-related skills and competencies.
• Audit technology implementations, application controls, and cybersecurity risks related to the Global Payment Network.
