Job summary

Azenta Inc. seeks a Business Intelligence Engineer to design, build, and maintain enterprise data platforms and analytics solutions across AWS, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL environments.

You will develop and optimize ETL pipelines, curate datasets for reporting and AI initiatives, ensure data quality and governance, and partner with stakeholders to enable data-driven decisions with scalable, governed analytics assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in BI, data engineering, or analytics engineering.
• Strong ETL development and data integration experience.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including query optimization, schema design, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
• Strong SQL development, data modeling, and PostgreSQL database development expertise.
• Experience working within AWS cloud environments.
• Experience developing and managing enterprise reporting datasets.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and analytics best practices.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data processing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines that integrate data from enterprise applications, operational systems, APIs, and third-party platforms.
• Build automated processes to extract, load, and transform data into analytics-ready datasets.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Design and manage Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, and data models.
• Develop and maintain dimensional, operational, and semantic data models to support analytics and reporting.
• Design, develop, and optimize PostgreSQL database objects to support analytics workloads.
• Collaborate with data science/AI teams to prepare datasets for models.
