Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking an Automation & Orchestration Engineer to design, build, and maintain automation across our technology environment. This role eliminates manual processes by developing scalable infrastructure provisioning, deployment, configuration management, and operational workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in Automation Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related infra roles.
• Strong scripting/programming in Python, PowerShell, Bash, Go, or similar.
• Hands-on with configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Strong Linux/Unix administration.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving; Git exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows for infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and configuration management.
• Build and support orchestration solutions that coordinate complex workflows across systems, applications, and environments.
• Identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone processes and replace them with scalable automation.
• Develop self-service capabilities that improve operational efficiency and user experience.
• Develop and maintain IaC solutions for consistent, repeatable environments.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable software delivery.
• Support containerized and cloud-native environments using modern deployment practices.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver automation solutions that scale.
• Monitor and improve reliability through automation.
