Sonic Healthcare USA, Inc. seeks an Automation & Orchestration Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable automation across our technology environment. This role eliminates manual tasks by delivering self-service automation that boosts efficiency, reduces risk, and accelerates service delivery.

The candidate will combine software engineering, DevOps, and SRE experience to support IaC, CI/CD, orchestration, and observability across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in Automation Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related infra role.
• Strong scripting in Python/PowerShell/Bash/Go.
• Hands-on with Ansible/Puppet/Chef/Salt.
• IaC tools: Terraform/CloudFormation/Pulumi.
• CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitHub/GitLab/CircleCI.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Cloud platforms: AWS/Azure/GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows for provisioning, deployment, and configuration management.
• Build and support orchestration solutions for cross-system workflows.
• Identify and automate manual, repetitive processes.
• Develop self-service capabilities to improve efficiency.
• Develop IaC to ensure consistent environments.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliable delivery.
• Support containerized/cloud-native environments and collaboration with teams.
