Job summary

Wipro Limited is seeking a Cloud Software and Automation Engineer (GCP & Go Specialist) in San Diego to develop high-performance Go automation, build internal tools, and orchestrate scalable cloud infrastructure.

The role focuses on eliminating operational friction, improving reliability, and scaling cloud-native services with IaC, containers, and modern CI/CD pipelines. Strong Go and GCP experience required, with security and observability practices emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Strong Go (Golang) proficiency including concurrency patterns.
• Hands-on GCP experience with core services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, IAM).
• Terraform configurations for production-grade IaC.
• Deep Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration knowledge.
• Familiarity with microservices, REST/gRPC, and distributed systems.
• Google Cloud DevOps Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect cert is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop Go automation and microservices APIs.
• Automate GCP infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform.
• Orchestrate containers in GKE and Cloud Run.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Instrument Go apps with telemetry using GCP Observability.
• Enforce security using GCP IAM, Cloud KMS, and vulnerability scanning.
• Optimize Go runtimes for performance and cost efficiency.
