Job summary

Gartner is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join the Cloud Center of Excellence. You will help automate IT infrastructure using AWS, containers, and IaC, building scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.

You will collaborate with developers and operations, design automated deployment pipelines, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to disaster recovery and monitoring across regions. This role offers hybrid work with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in AWS cloud, automation development, and/or orchestration positions.
• MS or BS degree in computer science or related focus.
• Experience with containers, Docker, Kubernetes, serverless functions.
• Knowledge of infra automation tools like Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Exposure to GitOps.
• Scripting experience (Python, Shell, Groovy).
• AWS and Kubernetes certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into automated solutions.
• Lead technical discussions for cloud deployment, security, and high availability.
• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (server, storage, network, security).
• Build reusable pipelines for application deployments.
• Develop and test automated backup, disaster recovery across regions.
• Ensure monitoring and instrumentation of solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev/test/prod environments.
• Mentor product teams and junior engineers.
