Job summary

Emagine IT seeks a Cloud Systems Engineer to design, build, and automate cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure. You will develop as-code solutions, automation, and observability to improve reliability and security.

The role values AI-assisted workflows for log triage and compliance automation while maintaining clear documentation for stakeholders. Hybrid/on-site work in Maryland or Northern Virginia is expected, with a focus on secure, auditable environments and scalable cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of cloud, systems, or DevOps experience in AWS and/or Azure.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform and drift detection.
• Scripting in Python, PowerShell, and Bash with version control.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and observability tooling.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and improve cloud environments on AWS and Azure using Terraform.
• Develop automation and tooling in Python, PowerShell, and Bash with proper practices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment and management.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability to detect issues early.
• Apply NIST RMF, Zero Trust, and other federal security requirements.
• Automate collection and maintenance of compliance evidence.
• Document architectures and decisions for stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and continuously modernize cloud platforms.
