Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience implementing structured design and architecture processes in a corporate environment
• 8+ years of experience in full development life cycle and delivering applications and architecture services
• Strong knowledge of AWS services with a focus on serverless patterns
• 5+ years of experience in API design patterns including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and messaging-based APIs
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to communicate architectural issues to multiple levels of the organization
• Software development background in modern server-side computing stacks
• Solid understanding of solutions architecture for consumer-scale web solutions, distributed systems, and cloud platforms

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architecture vision and direction across initiatives
• Assist in developing frameworks, standards, and procedures guiding technology decisions
• Facilitate technical design reviews and ensure adherence to standards
• Identify and resolve infrastructure problems and improve reliability
• Connect local teams with enterprise capabilities to drive integration
• Mentor engineers on business knowledge, technology, and career growth
• Create a culture of knowledge sharing and learning from successes and challenges
• Develop logical and technical architectures for projects and platforms
• Evaluate performance, security, reliability, and interoperability requirements
• Produce high-level design deliverables to enable development teams
• Communicate architectures and technologies to delivery teams and stakeholders
• Evaluate emerging technologies and define future-roadmap options
• Recommend improvements to technology and processes to boost effectiveness
• Create proofs of concept for new technologies
• Oversee hardware and software technology evaluations and selections
