Job summary

Wellmark, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect to lead incubation of new architecture capabilities at the data center level.

You will guide discovery, PoC development, validation, and transition to production ownership, ensuring guardrails, success metrics, and adoption pathways align with enterprise standards. You will collaborate with data center engineering, infrastructure, security, operations, product, and governance teams to drive disciplined innovation and strategic outcomes

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
Minimum 10 years experience in an IT environment with at least 7 years of architecture experience.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to translate long-range technology goals into incubated capabilities and roadmaps.
Experience with architecture in SAFe environments and Lean-Agile principles.
Travel required up to 5%.

Responsibilities

Lead incubation of architecture capabilities at the data center level across enterprise.
Guide discovery, PoC development, technical validation, and transition to production ownership.
Establish guardrails, success metrics, reference patterns, and adoption pathways.
Partner with data center engineering, infrastructure, security, operations, product, and architecture leaders.
Prioritize incubation opportunities aligned with enterprise standards and long-term strategy.
Foster disciplined innovation, learning, and responsible handoff from incubation to operations.
