Job summary

FedWriters, Inc. is seeking a MRMS Cloud Computing Architecture Advisor to guide deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code, and unit tests for MRMS in the commercial cloud, collaborating with NSSL engineers.

This full-time hybrid role is based near Norman, Oklahoma, with 90% on site at NSSL. A BA/BS and 4+ years’ experience, plus AWS/Azure cloud and Git tooling, are required, along with strong communication and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a technical or business discipline.
• 4+ years of professional and/or academic experience.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and deployment in commercial clouds.

Responsibilities

• Advise on deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code, and unit tests for MRMS in the cloud.
• Provide cloud-budget and cost-optimization recommendations for NWS standards.
• Help develop optimized pipelines for MRMS reanalysis workflows in the cloud.
• Produce technical documentation and status reports for development activities.
