Job summary

Rapid Cycle Solutions LLC seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer Expert/Advisor to provide multi-cloud management advisory services supporting national security objectives. The role focuses on advising mission users on cloud-based IT systems and guiding transitions to the cloud, with onsite work in Chantilly, VA.

The ideal candidate has solid cloud computing expertise, experience in designing and migrating applications to the cloud, and can deliver unbiased advisory services on cloud service use,

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, system administration or a related discipline and 8 years’ experience.
• Thorough knowledge and/or certifications in multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud).
• Expertise in IT architecture, software development, and operations.
• Engineering and Technology – knowledge of applied engineering principles.
• Customer Service – knowledge of providing customer services.
• Design – knowledge of design techniques for technical plans and models.
• Project planning and management skills, including scope, time, and resources.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to lead and persuade.
• Strong interpersonal skills for leadership and collaboration.
• Complex Problem Solving and Systems Analysis.
• Ability to identify technology gaps and develop project plans.
• Ability to troubleshoot and convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Advise on optimal cloud-based solutions with the CIMM engineering team.
• Develop cloud strategy covering security fabrics for multi-cloud environments.
• Define and document best practices for deployment and maintenance.
• Review mission system requirements and provide technical recommendations.
• Provide advisory services to CSPs and IC Elements in the C2E environment.
• Develop and maintain a cloud cost management strategy with forecasting and budgeting guidance.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies.
• Advise on application performance, uptime, and scale while maintaining high code quality.
• Translate customer requirements into cloud service specifications.
