Job summary

Irvine Technology Corporation is seeking a hands-on Cloud Architect to own and evolve the architecture for Azure, Microsoft 365, Google Cloud, and Google Workspace. Remote work mix with direct engagement to steer multi-cloud strategy and drive migration from on-premises infrastructure.

You will design, build, and operate environments, train engineers, and collaborate with vendors to set security, identity, and cost standards across two ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in infrastructure or cloud engineering.
• Experience designing and building cloud and productivity environments across Azure, M365, Google Cloud, and Google Workspace.
• Delivered on-premises-to-Azure migration of VMware and server workloads, and led file-share migrations to SharePoint Online and OneDrive.
• Hands-on experience with Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, M365 E5 security and compliance suite, and hybrid-to-Ent ra-joined device migration.
• PowerShell and Microsoft Graph automation, and a track record of training colleagues and documenting runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Own the target architecture for the move off on-prem infrastructure, and extend the Azure landing zone.
• Design and build the Google Cloud organization, and set multi-cloud standards for identity, networking, security, workload placement, and cost.
• Lead workload and file-share migrations to Azure, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Google Cloud, and Google Workspace from discovery through cutover.
• Design identity and security across both suites, including Entra and Workspace SSO, and an Intune rollout for devices.
• Serve as technical lead with vendors and partners, and train the infrastructure team through pairing, design reviews, and runbooks.

Cloud Architect – Azure, Microsoft 365, Google Cloud & Google Workspace

Our client is modernizing its infrastructure and workplace technology across two ecosystems, and they’re looking for a hands‑on Cloud Architect to lead the way. Sponsored directly by the CTO, this role owns the architecture for Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Workspace, and Google Cloud, including the move off on‑premises infrastructure. You’ll design these environments, build them yourself, and train the engineers who will run them, so this is a role where your decisions shape the foundation the whole organization depends on.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the target architecture for the move off on‑premises infrastructure, and take over and extend the Azure landing zone currently being built by an implementation partner
• Design and build the Google Cloud organization, and set multi‑cloud standards for identity, networking, security, workload placement, and cost across Azure and Google Cloud
• Lead workload and file‑share migrations to Azure, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Google Cloud, and Google Workspace, from discovery through cutover and owner acceptance
• Design identity and security across both suites, including Entra and Workspace SSO, the move to Entra‑joined devices, the Microsoft 365 E5 security suite, and an Intune rollout for Windows, Mac, and mobile
• Serve as technical lead with vendors and partners, and train the infrastructure team through pairing, design reviews, and runbooks

What Gets You the Job:

• 8+ years in infrastructure or cloud engineering, including 5+ years designing and building cloud and productivity environments across Azure, Microsoft 365, Google Cloud, and Google Workspace
• An Azure landing zone and a Google Cloud organization you designed and built yourself
• A delivered on‑premises-to-Azure migration of VMware and server workloads, plus led file‑share migrations to SharePoint Online and OneDrive
• Hands‑on experience with Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, the Microsoft 365 E5 security and compliance suite, and a hybrid‑to‑Entra‑joined device migration
• PowerShell and Microsoft Graph automation, daily use of AI assistants in your engineering work, and a track record of training colleagues and documenting clearly
