Job summary

MetaPhase Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to provide architecture and engineering leadership for DHS enterprise applications and cloud modernization. You will design secure, scalable cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures across AWS and Microsoft Azure, guiding teams from architecture through implementation and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Microsoft Certified Professional Certification.
• 7+ years of combined experience in architecture design and implementation.
• Hands-on AWS and Azure experience.
• Experience designing cloud or hybrid-cloud enterprise solutions.
• Strong ability to communicate complex architecture to technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise solutions across AWS, Azure, hybrid-cloud and DHS-hosted environments.
• Develop target and reference architectures for cloud-based applications and services.
• Lead technical discovery and translate requirements into scalable architectures.
• Create current-state and future-state diagrams, roadmaps, and designs.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate approaches for customers.
• Define architectures addressing IAM, secrets, vulnerability scanning, logging, container orchestration, source-code management, configuration, automation, data protection, network security.
• Architect integrations between enterprise apps, APIs, databases, cloud services and identity platforms.
• Support application and data migration into cloud environments.
• Lead architecture reviews for reliability, security and performance.
• Present architecture recommendations to senior government stakeholders.
