Qualifications

• 8+ years IT architecture experience with a cloud focus.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including Active Directory, cloud security, and governance.
• Proven cloud migration leadership from assessment to execution.
• Strong networking, security, virtualization, and storage knowledge in cloud environments.
• Hands-on with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Working knowledge of IT security control frameworks including NIST 800-171, CMMC, SOC-2, or equivalent.
• Strong Active Directory and Group Policy administration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field -- Master's degree preferred
• Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
• Experience with Agile, DevOps, or other modern IT delivery methodologies.
• Willingness to occasionally work outside standard business hours and travel as needed.

This is a direct hire opportunity with a company that has a national footprint and a mature IT environment built heavily around Microsoft Azure. The role carries real strategic weight -- you will be shaping cloud architecture decisions, leading migration efforts, and setting the standards the broader IT and development teams follow. Required Skills & Experience

• 8 or more years of experience in IT architecture with a focused emphasis on cloud computing

• Background in regulated industries where compliance documentation and audit readiness are routine
