Arcticom LLC is seeking a Cloud Architect at Randolph AFB, TX to lead cloud strategy, evaluate cloud applications and monitor security posture. The role requires a deep understanding of DoD cloud policies and strong communication with IT teams and cybersecurity partners.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, possess a Bachelor’s in a related field, and have 15–20 years of cloud design/implementation experience, with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

  • Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adoption process.
  • Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
  • Develop and organize cloud systems.
  • Work closely with Cybersecurity to monitor the portfolio's cloud privacy.
  • Respond to technical issues.
  • Guide infrastructure movement techniques, including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
  • Identify top cloud architecture solutions to meet the company’s strategic needs.

About this position: Cloud Architect Location – Randolph AFB, TX

Arcticom LLC provides network and systems administration, enterprise architecture and resource planning, certification and accreditation, software design, programming, maintenance of telecommunications and land mobile radio equipment and systems, help desk support and IT transformation services among other services.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a relevant field
  • Level of Experience Requirements: 15–20 years of experience designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have or be able to attain a SECRET security clearance.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
  • Deep knowledge of Department of Defense cloud policies and processes.
  • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.
Preferred
  • Active SECRET security clearance.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements
  • This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

This job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. Typical work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. (Central Time). This job may require additional hours. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with or without prior notice.

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
