Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a seasoned Cloud Architect to define and own the AMIR multi-cloud integration across AWS, GCP, SAP BTP IS, and Azure. You will design an AWS serverless event-driven stack with EventBridge, MSK, Lambda, and DynamoDB, and oversee HA/DR hosting architecture with secure networking.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the AMIR multi-cloud integration architecture across AWS, GCP, SAP BTP IS, and Azure.
• Design the AWS serverless event-driven architecture including EventBridge, MSK, Lambda, and DynamoDB routing schemes.
• Own cloud hosting architecture; ensure HA/DR, VPC, multi-AZ deployments.
• Produce ADRs and architecture docs; present to review boards.
• Govern Terraform IaC across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Design security architecture including IAM, KMS, SGs, PrivateLink.
• Review and validate Kiro-generated CDK artifacts against standards.
• Collaborate with AWS Strategic Programmes to leverage funding/support.

Key responsibilities:

• Define and own the AMIR multi-cloud integration architecture — AWS (primary compute/event backbone), GCP (Apigee X), SAP BTP IS, Azure (DevOps + Entra ID)
• Design the AWS serverless event-driven architecture: EventBridge bus topology, MSK (Kafka) topic design, Lambda function architecture, DynamoDB GNN Routing Table schema (4-state machine)
• Own HES and MDMS cloud hosting architecture — HA/DR design, network topology, VPC configuration, multi-AZ deployment
• Author Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and cloud architecture documentation; present to SoCalGas architecture review board
• Govern Terraform IaC strategy across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments
• Design security architecture for cloud components — IAM roles/policies, KMS encryption, VPC security groups, PrivateLink
• Support AWS Kiro Code Generation phase — review and validate Kiro-generated CDK artifacts against architecture standards
• Engage with AWS Strategic Programmes team as AWS Ambassador; leverage AWS funding/support mechanisms for AMIR

Required skills & experience:

• AWS Platinum certification required (AWS Solutions Architect Professional minimum)
• AWS Ambassador programme participant strongly preferred
• AWS EventBridge, MSK/Kafka, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway — deep hands-on architecture and design
• HES/MDMS cloud hosting architecture in utility AMI environments preferred
• LA-based (or willing to relocate); onshore travel to SoCalGas offices required
• 12+ years cloud architecture; utility or critical infrastructure preferred

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $52.70/hour - $82.35/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
