Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a hands-on Solution Architect and engineer to enable customers to adopt FinOps Foundation principles across a multi-tenant cloud landscape. The role focuses on Pre-Sales, architecture, data modeling, and development integration with cloud cost sources.

You will drive migrations to the public cloud, manage several engagements concurrently, and build relationships with client and provider teams to ensure client success and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Pre-sales experience in a service provider environment focused on cloud management and FinOps solutions, including solution design, estimates, and customer proposals.
• Program management experience leading a cross-functional team to deliver a FinOps program using product-oriented methods (roadmap, backlog, measurable outcomes).
• Software Development experience using Agile principles (e.g., SDLC, CI/CD, pair programming).
• Data modeling, data engineering, and database management experience (e.g., SQL, Python).
• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• FinOps Foundation certification (FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Certified Engineer), or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Cloud Management role in the project delivery cycle, working with clients, partners, and business units to ensure successful consulting engagements.
• Migrate client environments to the cloud and manage multiple engagements in parallel while delivering executive-ready materials and interactive reports.

Job description

This is a hands-on Solution Architect and engineering role, with a focus on enabling customers to act using FinOps Foundation principles applied to a multi-tenant Cloud Provider landscape. The successful candidate will have Pre-Sales experience, architecture / engineering, data modeling, and development integrating components

The successfully hired candidate will ensure high customer satisfaction delivering migrations of client’s environments to public cloud. The candidate should expect to work in parallel across multiple engagements with customers and develop relationships with client and provider groups to achieve customer satisfaction and success.

Key Role & Responsibility:

• The Cloud Management Leader is a cloud role in the project delivery cycle with hands on experience migrating customers to the cloud. This role will work closely with clients, partners, and other business units to ensure consulting engagements are successful.

Required:

• Pre-sales experience in a service provider environment focused on cloud management and FinOps solutions, including solution design, estimates, and customer proposals.
• Program management experience leading a cross-functional team to deliver a FinOps program using product-oriented methods (roadmap, backlog, measurable outcomes).

• ITFM Showback or Chargeback experience and integration with Cloud Cost sources (e.g. Azure Cloud and Usage Reporting).
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills, including executive-ready materials in PowerPoint and Word and interactive web-based reports (e.g., standalone HTML).
• Program / Project Management experience – You will help lead a diverse team to achieve the success of the FinOps program using product oriented methodologies.
• Hands on experience of modern Cloud Analytics tools (e.g. IBM Apptio Cloudability, etc.)
• Practical experience driving FinOps optimization actions with customers (e.g., rightsizing, waste removal, commitment-based discounts such as Reserved Instances and Savings Plans).
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, API integration, and Data Visualization related to Cloud cost, tagging, and showback / chargeback.
• Service mapping experience with hybrid tools (e.g., ServiceNow APM).
• Experience implementing architectural governance and proactively managing issues and risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Experience supporting public-sector or multi-tenant shared services programs

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $40.68/hour - $63.57/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
