Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer in Warren, NJ (On-site) for a 6-month contract. You will design, implement, automate, and support enterprise Azure cloud platforms with emphasis on AKS, IaC, DevOps, and cloud operations.

Responsibilities include deploying Azure resources (VMs, App services, Key Vault, VNets), managing AKS lifecycle, implementing security, RBAC, and IaC standards, plus monitoring and incident response to improve reliability and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Terraform, Docker and container orchestration experience.
• Strong networking and DNS expertise.
• Scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Proven troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, automating, securing, and supporting enterprise Azure cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure infrastructure, Kubernetes (AKS), Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and cloud operations. This role requires a proactive individual who can quickly adapt, take ownership of platform services, and drive engineering excellence.

Core Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and support Azure resources and cloud infrastructure.

Application Gateway & Load Balancers

Azure Firewall & Private Endpoints

Compute services - VMs, App services, Function apps, Logic apps

Storage Accounts - blob, Fileshares

AI cognitive services - Foundry , Search and etc,.

Key Vault:

Virtual Networks, NSGs, Route Tables

Implement Azure security, governance, RBAC, Managed Identities, and networking best practices.

Design, deploy, and support Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments.

Manage cluster lifecycle, upgrades, scaling, security, and monitoring.

Administration of Kubernetes Services - Dockerfiles, Deployment manifests and etc,.

Support Helm Charts, Gateway API (Envoy), CSI Drivers, Workload Identity, and container platforms.

Troubleshoot Kubernetes, application, networking, and storage issues.

Infrastructure Automation

Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and environment standardization.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and platform operations.

Monitoring & Operations

Monitor platform health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana, and Dynatrace.

Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.

Drive reliability, security, and cost optimization initiatives.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $27.74/hour - $43.34/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
