$70.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Position Details

• Position: Cloud Solutions Architect
• Location: 2-3 days a week in office
• Duration: 12 Months
• Working Hours: Core EST business hours (flexible)
• Travel: Possible for planning sessions 1-2 times a year
• Contract Type: W2, contract to hire

Group Function

• Support core banking, platform, new account crew, and fraud platform. Create solution design packages and act as a liaison between tech and business teams to optimize solutions.

Industry Background

• Combine tools to create cohesive solutions.
• Domain experience in Banking or Finance.

Team Dynamics

• Well-rounded knowledge is important; SME in all technologies is not required.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Evaluate solution architecture requests and ensure documentation of requirements and stakeholders.
• Review requests against service offerings and prioritize work.
• Create artifacts, investigate technologies, and identify stakeholders.
• Engage vendors, SMEs, and architecture teams to ensure standards and best practices.
• Create UML diagrams, BPMN diagrams, and process flowcharts.
• Review and evaluate technology options, document assumptions, risks, and decisions.
• Ensure deliverables align with architectural principles and present in reviews.
• Articulate cost/benefit analyses and defend technology strategies.
• Perform peer reviews of designs.

Technical Skills

• Critical: Cloud infrastructure, Kafka/streaming, Microservices.
• Knowledge of UML, BPMN, Kubernetes, OpenShift, messaging systems, cloud provisioning (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with source control (git), documentation (Confluence), and issue tracking (Jira).
• Preferred security certifications: CISSP, CSSP, CIAM, CIMP.

Flex Skills

• Actimize experience is strongly preferred.

Soft Skills

• Ownership, conscientiousness, clear communication of technical details.

Degrees/Certifications
