Job summary

Arcticom LLC is seeking a Cloud Architect for a remote role. The candidate will craft a cloud strategy, evaluate cloud environments, and develop scalable cloud systems while coordinating with Cybersecurity to ensure cloud privacy and security.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree, 5–10 years of cloud experience, US citizenship, and ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. Excellent written and verbal communication are essential to interface with management and IT partners.

Job description

Arcticom LLC provides network and systems administration, enterprise architecture and resource planning, certification and accreditation, software design, programming, maintenance of telecommunications and land mobile radio equipment and systems, help desk support and IT transformation services among other services.

About this position: Cloud Architect Location – Remote

Applicants will be notified via phone or email within ten (10) business days of submittal.

• Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process.
• Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
• Develop and organize cloud systems.
• Work closely with Cybersecurity to monitor the portfolio's cloud privacy.
• Respond to technical issues.
• Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
• Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the Government.
• Develop enterprise architecture solutions that utilize common services and best practices.
• Assist in strategy for work towards the Platform as a Service to Software as a Service transformation.
• The Contractor shall perform the tasks demonstrating experience with:
• Deep knowledge of Department of War cloud policies and processes.
• Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.
• Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and all HR modules.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

• Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree
• Level of Experience Requirements: 5–10 years of experience designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have or be able to attain a SECRET security clearance.

This job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. Typical work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. (Central Time). This job may require additional hours. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with or without prior notice.

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
