Job summary

Mandiant, part of Google Cloud, seeks an Application Security Consultant to help clients mitigate cyber threats and improve security postures. You will assess web, API, and mobile apps, identify critical vulnerabilities, and communicate findings to technical teams and executives.

In this role you will expand capabilities through tooling, threat research, and knowledge sharing, while leading engagements from kickoff to remediation and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience across three security areas listed (web/API/app security, cloud, red team, etc.).
• Experience delivering reporting and presentations to technical and executive audiences.
• Experience with OS security across multiple operating systems or Linux.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments of Web applications, APIs, and Mobile apps using OWASP methods.
• Identify and validate vulnerabilities; weaponize findings.
• Develop reports/presentations for technical and executive audiences; advise leadership.
• Mentor staff and assist with scoping engagements through remediation phase.
