Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build systems that power the Analytics data plane. You will own the product vision, design new features, and drive end-to-end delivery from development to deployment.

You will mentor engineers and help shape a high-performance, scalable query engine used across AWS services. You should have a background in distributed systems or databases, and strong coding skills in at least one language.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

• Build systems that benefit Analytics customers worldwide.
• Own and deliver end-to-end features from design to operations.
• Lead engineers on substantial projects and mentor team members.
• Define product vision and architecture for new features.
• Contribute to and optimize the query engine stack for performance.
