Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Engineer to work on a large-scale, in-house distributed database system powering AWS services. You will design, implement, and optimize highly available software to improve performance, durability, cost, and security.

Collaborate with senior engineers, participate in design reviews, and engage with customers to understand needs while delivering innovative database technologies at scale.

Qualifications

• 2+ years designing or architecture of scalable systems.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Experience programming with at least one language.

Responsibilities

• Solve challenging distributed systems problems at multiple stack layers.
• Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software solutions.
