Job summary

Lennox International is seeking a Cloud Advance Admin/Developer Intern to work with Salesforce, Apex, Lightning Web Components, and REST/SOAP APIs. You will collaborate with developers, admins, and analysts to translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.

Interns gain hands-on cloud development experience, with potential full-time opportunities after graduation. Relocation or travel may be required as part of this role.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI, or related field.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language (Java/JavaScript/Python/C#).
  • Understanding of databases and SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with Git and version control.
  • Understanding of SDLC concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support Salesforce administration, configuration, and platform maintenance.
  • Develop and enhance solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Assist with configuring objects, fields, workflows, and permissions.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Conduct functional testing and document results.
  • Assist with integration analysis using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Document processes, designs, and test scenarios.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Salesforce Development & Configuration
  • Support Salesforce administration, application configuration, and platform maintenance activities.
  • Develop and enhance solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Assist with configuring objects, fields, workflows, permissions, and other platform capabilities.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Perform functional and regression testing to validate Salesforce features and enhancements.
  • Develop test scenarios and document testing results.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate application defects.
  • Support quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
Integration & Process Automation
  • Assist with Salesforce integration analysis and support using REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Help evaluate data flows and integration points between Salesforce and other enterprise systems.
  • Support the automation and optimization of existing Salesforce business processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
Documentation & Business Analysis
  • Document business processes, application configurations, technical designs, and test scenarios.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify business needs.
  • Assist with creating technical documentation and process materials.
  • Communicate project updates and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Innovation & Emerging Technology
  • Conduct research and proof-of-concept activities involving new Salesforce capabilities.
  • Explore potential applications of Artificial Intelligence and Salesforce Agentforce.
  • Support evaluations of emerging platform features and development tools.
  • Contribute ideas that improve Salesforce functionality and business outcomes.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related technical field
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, or a similar language
  • Understanding of databases and SQL queries
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle concepts
  • Familiarity with version control concepts, preferably Git
  • Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into logical solutions
  • Self-motivation, curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to take ownership of assigned work

Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of the Salesforce platform through coursework, Trailhead learning, certifications, or project experience
  • Exposure to Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, or Salesforce Flow
  • Understanding of REST or SOAP APIs and system integration concepts
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, or similar version control and collaboration tools
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies, software testing practices, or application development projects
  • Interest in Salesforce AI capabilities, including Agentforce

What We Are Looking For

What We Offer

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $22.50 – $25.00/hour. This rate is based on the intern's current year in their respective university programs. Graduate students may receive a higher rate of pay based on their year in school. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
