Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Closing Paralegal to provide clerical support on prelitigation files under the supervision of attorneys. Duties include document preparation, client communications, and general admin tasks related to case closure.

Key responsibilities include case management tasks, balance verifications, lien interests, and assisting with settlement paperwork and disbursements. This is a Monday–Friday in-office role with emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years relevant work experience in related field such as insurance and/or medical billing, insurance verification or accounting.
• Prefer Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily mail and draft day-to-day correspondence necessary in case management.
• Balance verifications and assist with subrogation lien interests.
• Prepare files for litigation transfer when necessary.
• Assist Attorney with settlement paperwork and disbursements.
• Meet goals set by management and maintain consistent client contact.
• Attend quarterly meetings and ensure punctual attendance.
