Job summary

NVR Settlement Services is seeking a Closing Officer in Frederick, Maryland. The role focuses on driving settlement business from Ryan Homes, NVHomes, and Heartland Homes, while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring proper documentation and signatures.

Responsibilities include contacting customers to promote services and educate on title insurance, overseeing settlements, and generating reports for managers.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of sales experience required.
• 1+ year experience conducting settlements preferred.
• Must obtain a Notary Commission and Title Insurance License.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong oral/written communication skills.
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Job description

As a Closing Officer with NVR Settlement Services, you will be responsible for managing customer settlements from our homebuilding partners, Ryan Homes, NVHomes and Heartland Homes. You will assist with the processing of customer files and contribute to the success of our business by impacting our customers through strong, positive customer service and customer capture efforts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Contact all customers to discuss the benefits of our services with the goal of earning their settlement business
• Contact all customers to educate them on the benefits of owners title insurance
• Monitor and conduct settlements, reviewing all transactions and documents and gathering all required signatures
• Create and manage customer service initiatives and provide reporting to branch/operations managers
• Meet quarterly with builder sales representatives and personnel to provide relevant training/information to better inform them in their customer meetings

Qualifications

• 1+ years of sales experience required
• 1+ years conducting settlements preferred or relevant industry experience
• Must be able to obtain a Notary Commission and Title Insurance License
• Excellent customer service skills and strong oral/written communication skills
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Proficient with Microsoft suite

This position pays $60,000 - $65,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by factors including the candidate’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, and location.
