Job summary

Spirit Halloween is seeking a CLO Technical Designer to bridge technical and creative aspects of CLO 3D. Lead the design process for apparel and accessories, mentor designers, and reduce physical sampling through CLO workflows.

You will work with cross-functional partners, coordinate with overseas factories, and help grow our CLO asset library while staying fast-paced and delivery-focused.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Technical Design.
• 3+ years of daily CLO usage in the fashion industry.
• Strong software literacy and quick learner.
• Creative, curious, and driven; proactive and self-motivated.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete design process for apparel and accessories in CLO.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to meet 3D needs in product development and lifecycles.
• Troubleshoot for designers learning CLO; train on transitioning from Illustrator to CLO.
• Minimize physical sampling using CLO software.
• Make pattern adjustments and apply textures, prints, stitches, and trims in CLO.
• Communicate CLO files and patterns with overseas factories.
• Grow the block library of pre-sewn garments in standard silhouettes.
• Manage the virtual fabric library for 3D sampling.

Responsibilities

The CLO Technical Designer will be instrumental in creating intricate styles within CLO, providing mentorship and support to design and tech design users who are mastering the tool. Your role will bridge the gap between the technical and creative aspects of the CLO 3D Design tool.

• Oversee the complete design process for apparel and accessories in CLO
• Collaborate and influence cross-functional partners to meet 3D needs throughout product development and key lifecycle milestones
• Troubleshoot for designers and tech designers who are learning CLO, acting as a trainer to help them transition between design programs like Illustrator and CLO
• Minimize physical sampling using CLO software
• Make necessary pattern adjustments within CLO as well as apply textures, prints, stitches, and trims
• Communicate with overseas factories to share CLO files and patterns
• Facilitate the growth of the block library of pre-sewn garments in standard silhouettes
• Manage the virtual fabric library for use in the 3D sampling process

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Technical Design
• 3+ years of experience using CLO daily in the fashion industry, with ample knowledge of pattern making
• Highly proficient with technology and able to quickly learn new software
• Creative, curious, and driven
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Adaptable, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills

The pay range reflects the potential base salary range for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scopeand responsibilities of the position.
