Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Technical Design.
• 3+ years' experience in Technical Design or Apparel Development.
• Strong garment construction, fit, patternmaking, grading, and manufacturing knowledge.
• Experience creating and managing Tech Packs throughout the product lifecycle.
• Proficiency in PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office.
• Browzwear or CLO experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support technical development of apparel styles from concept through production.
• Create and maintain development Tech Packs: flats, construction, BOMs, specs, grading, and packaging.
• Translate design concepts and inspiration samples into production-ready technical documentation.
• Evaluate proto through TOP samples; identify fit, construction, and quality issues and communicate clear corrections.
• Partner with Design and Product Development to maintain design intent and product quality.
• Collaborate with overseas vendors to resolve construction and pattern-related challenges.
• Manage multiple styles, development paths, and timelines while tracking key milestones and next steps.
• Maintain accurate product information and technical documentation in PLM.
• Research and recommend construction, material, and development solutions for quality and efficiency.
• Build strong partnerships across Technical Design, cross-functional teams, and global vendors.
• Maintain organized physical and digital sample libraries and development records.

Job description

The Associate Technical Designer supports apparel development from concept through production, ensuring design intent, fit, quality, and construction standards are achieved. This role partners closely with Design, Product Development, Sales, Sourcing, Production, and overseas vendors through accurate technical documentation, garment evaluation, and collaborative problem-solving.

You'll gain hands-on experience developing product from concept through production within a highly collaborative Technical Design team. You'll strengthen your skills in fit, construction, patterns, technical documentation, and vendor communication while learning to navigate multiple development paths and production realities. This role offers the opportunity to build the technical judgment and product ownership needed to grow into a well-rounded Technical Designer.

Annual salary range is starting at $65,000
