Job summary

Spencer's in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, is seeking an experienced apparel technical designer to create specs and supervise fit and production for licensed and generic costumes and accessories.

You will partner with Product Development, respond to factory questions, conduct fittings, and develop grade rules to ensure consistent sizing across products, with PLM and CLO 3D experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in apparel, soft goods, or costume technical design/product development.
• Knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading, and pattern corrections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• PLM experience preferred; CLO 3D experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create technical specification packages for costumes and accessories across men’s, women’s, kids’, and infant sizes.
• Partner with Product Development to address technical and production issues.
• Respond to factory questions and troubleshoot issues throughout production.
• Conduct fittings and document fit comments, measurements, photos, and pattern corrections.
• Communicate technical details, construction requirements, and fit updates to factories.
• Develop grade rules to ensure consistent sizing across products.
• Review and complete factory pattern corrections as needed.

The pay range reflects the potential base salary range for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
