Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking a compassionate clinical support teammate to join the patient care team. The role initiates patient care, gathers vitals, prepares exam rooms, and collects specimens, supporting physicians, patients, and families.

Education requires a high school diploma or GED; certification programs such as CMA or CNA are preferred. CNA or LPN is preferred, with BLS within orientation. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within orientation.

Initiates patient care, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, and collects specimens. Provides patient education and support as needed to assist physician, patient and family. Assists coworkers and draws blood as needed.

Qualifications

Education required: High school diploma or GED.

Education preferred: Completion of certified medical assistant program, completion of the Huntsville Hospital Patient Care Tech program or CNA.

License, Certification and/or Registration: CNA or LPN Preferred. BLS must be received within the orientation period.
Experience: Phlebotomy experience preferred. Minimum of one year experience working in a clinic setting preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to use computer, fax machine and copy machine. Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment
